What a great day this turned out to be. Friend of mine, Ron Cey of the LA Dodgers, was playing in this Hall of Fame Celebrity Fundraiser. Ron knows (but doesn't understand) that I think Brooks is the greatest third baseman so called me to join him at the game. Ron got me on the field where I met Brooks for the first time. I was able to sit in the dugout the entire game and Brooks and I chatted the game away!
I was fortunate enough to take a few pictures at perfect times. I was in the dugout on the third base side and clicked away right when some huge softball dude hit a shot right at Brooks. The photos below tells the rest of the story. I told Brooks it looked just like the 1970 World Series. He laughed and said the difference was that he never saw this one coming! (ha ha)
