A Tribute To
Brooks Robinson |

"I never had five games in a row like I had in that particular World Series."

Tribute to Brooks Robinson Opening Day:
July 14, 2003
Welcome to my tribute page of the greatest third baseman ever, Brooks Robinson, of the Baltimore Orioles. Creating this page is something I really wanted to do. I've been a Brooks fan since the age of five, while watching him for the first time in the 1970 World Series. This Series was the one that ensured Brooks a place in the prestigious Hall of Fame as it became his stage for five glorious days to showcase his skills to the world.
I recall as a kid sending Brooks a piece of fan mail with a baseball card enclosed. I told him that we had something in common. I, too, played for the Orioles (my first T-ball team) and that he was my favorite player. As sure as the sun will set, my card was soon returned with an additional scribble of ink on it. As a child that is all it takes to have a fan for life. So here I am, some thirty years later, still admiring his works and collecting his memorabilia.
The modern day internet has been a great resource for following a career, collecting items, and meeting other fans. This is my addition to the world wide web to share my collection of facts, figures, moments, and items of the "Human Vacuum." I hope you enjoy your stay in my attempt to preserve the history of #5 and to educate upcoming generations of the man and the player, Brooks Robinson.

Thanks, Brooks Day at Memorial Stadium
The Oriole mascots are your key to navigating through this site. Thanks to the Baltimore Oriole franchise for permitting me the use of these logos. Click on to each mascot to dive deeper into these categories. To return to the home page at any time, click on the "Tribute to Brooks Robinson" footer at the bottom of every page. I have good news and bad news... the good news is that there are over 700 images on this site, needless to say, please be patient on some computers for the additional upload time.
Thanks for stopping by my tribute page to Brooks. Publishing this page has truly been a labor of love. I've attempted to make this page more enjoyable and interactive than simply listing his career stats and honors. As anyone who knows Brooks would already know, the man continues to represent more to baseball than his numbers could ever reflect.
This page will be under continuous construction adding more new and exciting items as they surface. If you have a story or item that you would like to share on this page, please feel free to contact me and proper credits will be added to your addition. Please feel free leave a message, feedback or suggestions at my signature.
Sincerely,
Vaughan Kastor
